Sports
Sport has always been in my DNA. Long before I spent 23 years creating graphics for Fox Sports Australia and Kayo, I was convinced I was destined to become a professional athlete. Reality, however, had other ideas.
I represented my district in junior cricket before becoming completely obsessed with tennis throughout my teenage years. I trained relentlessly with dreams of making it professionally, only to discover there were quite a few people who were considerably better than me. Basketball eventually became my sport, progressing through Youth League, State League and into the ABA with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Unfortunately, a combination of limited height, limited natural ability and an ACL injury politely suggested that a career in professional sport probably wasn't on the cards.
What I did discover was that while I may not have had elite talent, I did have a willingness to work exceptionally hard. I squeezed just about everything I could out of the abilities I was given, and that mindset has followed me throughout my career. I know what athletes put themselves through because, while I was never one of the greats, I gave it absolutely everything I had.
Like any lifelong sports fan, I've also accumulated a few emotional scars along the way. Balmain's heartbreaking 1989 Grand Final loss still hurts, but nothing quite compares to watching Portland blow a 15-point lead to the Lakers in Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals. Some sporting wounds never fully heal.
That passion for sport ultimately led me into sports broadcasting, where I spent 23 years as a Senior Motion Graphics Designer with Fox Sports Australia and Kayo. During that time I created more than 3,000 promotional campaigns, broadcast graphics packages and short-form pieces of content, while helping guide the network through four complete brand refreshes. Working across virtually every major sporting code, I developed graphics and visual storytelling that informed, entertained and enhanced the viewing experience for millions of Australians.
Alongside my broadcast work, I've continued to stay close to grassroots sport, filming and producing basketball and soccer coverage for The Scots College and St Augustine's College. From game analysis and advanced statistics to highlight reels and promotional content, I've enjoyed helping athletes, coaches and schools tell their own sporting stories.
Looking back, I may not have made it as a professional athlete, but I somehow found the next best thing—a career immersed in the games I grew up loving. Whether I'm creating broadcast graphics, filming from the sideline or producing visual content, I still approach every project with the same mindset I had as a teenager chasing an impossible sporting dream: work hard, keep improving, and leave everything out on the court.
SPORTS REEL 2026
This is the more in-depth SPORTS reel - there’s only so much i can feature in 2 mins when you’re drawing on so many years of work. Unfortunately, a lot of the earlier stuff is trapped on BETA tapes so we’ll just have to make-do with things that are in a historically accessible format.
Past Projects
Explore a curated collection of my past work, collected from 23 years at Fox Sports and later Kayo.
